“I believe I’m beginning to realize now how precious time can be, we aren’t meant to fix mistakes but learn from them; those who try end up breaking themselves into more pieces. Am I any different though? How much will I learn and change until even I have gone insane with all this knowledge of what may happen to the present?” with a sigh and a flick of the tail the mongoose stared at the pendant grasped in the palm of her hand. It was…troublesome to keep such an object that could bring her destruction if she ever made a miscalculation on her journeys to the past. Then again it was rare for her to involve herself in such occurrences that didn’t involve her life. Such events became harder for her to remember, since it repeated so many times in a constant annoyance over and over. During times like this she felt the needed to escape and remind herself of all that continuously tormented her. A place where she could collect her memories yet still hear calming melodies chime as the wind picked it up.
No sooner had she thought of this did the wind pick up and gently graced its presence upon her with the singing of bells in the distance. With the melody beginning its dance around her it waited for a smile to adorn her half frowning face. Clenching her teeth a pain shot through her brain as she remembered an unpleasant memory, one which she couldn’t interfere with no matter how much every fiber of her being insisted. However, her existence depended on allowing the purposeful scene play out before her while she watched in silence. One lone eye stared to the sea colored sky before shutting and turning away in shame. Would her own death occur due to the madness she shut away long ago that forever threatened to consume her? “Take the pendant? You’ve cursed me grandma,” another sigh came from the mongoose while she reminisced in what she wished to be just a bad nightmare. That it was just a nightmare which haunted her every time she dared to close her eyes.
(Hmm, well I finally have enough muse to actually type up something so... um enjoy?)
