"Goddess help us!" One of the tribe members yelled, running from a ball of fire.
Above them all, a wolf with devil's wings floated there, laughing. He sent another ball of fire flying, before shouting, "You will all bow to me now! There's nothing anyone can do to stop it!"
Nearby, the tribe's chieftain got hit by one of the balls of fire, protecting the fleeing tribe. He fell backwards, heard a shout from his mate, and felt his life slipping away from him.
"No!" Branch shouted, seeing her mate die.
"Branch!" Swift shouted at her. "There's nothing you can do to help him. The most you can do is make sure your kid grows up in a safe environment."
Branch was trembling, but nodded, touching her belly, hoping that her baby would survive all this.
"Milady," a female wolf walked over to the porch and bowed. The wolf standing there was looking out at the death and destruction of the world below, the world that she had worked so hard on making.
"Starsearcher, I'm sorry," she said, not taking her eyes off the ground. Her black angel wings were tilted downwards in defeat. "I thought the binds on Darkdeath would be strong enough to hold him there."
Starsearcher objected, "Milady! That's not true. We all felt safe with the binds. It's not just your fault, and it's not to late to make sure we can stop him." She paused for a moment and, with a trembling voice, looked at the wolf and said, "Lifelover, we still have time to correct this."
Lifelover nodded. "Let us hope that by the time we find a suitable vessel, it is not too late."
"It won't be," Starsearcher argued. "I've managed to look ahead through time, and found someone that would be perfect."
"Oh? Enlighten me," Lifelover asked, still staring down at the planet in defeat.
Starsearcher said, "She goes by the name of Tania, and in a thousand years time, she'll be born as a descendent of Hawkhunter, the tribe's chieftain."
Lifelover blinked, before muttering, "A thousand years. That is truly a very long time to wait. What would stop Darkdeath from taking over the planet in that time?"
"In a hundred years or so, a rebellion will rise from a most unexpected source," Starsearcher replied. "We've got a lot of work to do between now and then."
Lifelover nodded, turning away from the window. "Come, Starsearcher."
"Yes, Milady," Starsearcher responded, following Lifelover from the room.
"Come on, five minute break, all of you!" a silver wolf shouted to a group of workers on their lunch break.
A yellow wolf with green hair that hung oddly walked up behind her. She whispered in the other wolf's ear, "You've got to eat, Tania."
"Ever since the rebels burned our food stock, we have less food. I don't need to eat," Tania growled. "Besides, I had my breakfast."
"You mean the one I saw you upchucking?" the other wolf stated.
Tania hissed at her and pulled the wolf close. "Sunnine, You know what the Great Seer does to people with eating disorders. I can't let him find out about how I've got one."
Sunnine rolled her eyes, before replying, "Ok, but you owe me big for this afterwards."
"Deal," Tania muttered, hearing the siren for break to be finished. She shouted, "Oi! All of you get back to work now!"
There were a lot of complaints, but none of them tried standing up to Tania, especially not with Sunnine, the Great Seer's eyes and ears, next to her.
"Tania, come in," a robotic voice said over the radio.
Tania pulled out a walkie-talkie and said into it, "I'm here."
"We've got a rebel heading south on the Main Intercourse, towards the mass weapon storage from the looks of it," the voice over the radio stated. "You're the closest one to the target location."
Tania nodded and replied, "On my way." She turned to Sunnine and said, "I'll see you later. We've all got to do our jobs."
"Yes," Sunnine replied, before Tania ran out of the building.
It didn't take her long to get to the target location. She hid behind some old and worn out bushes. "Tracking activate," Tania muttered under her breath, sliding the visor of her helmet down. It showed a bird's-eye-view of the area, with only one dot blinking at the center. Tania was puzzled for just a moment, before muttering, "Heat sensors, activate." The helmet's visor changed again, this time showing bodies of heat, and there weren't any outside her.
Then something flashed at the corner of her vision, and she turned, seeing another body of heat. She wasn't surprised to see it in the shape of a wolf, and muttered, "Tracking, Heat Sensors, deactivate." The visor was see-through again, and Tania was surprised to realize that she couldn't see the wolf normally.
"You look like you're looking for someone," a voice behind her said. Tania spun around and found herself face to face with a jet-black wolf staring down at her.
Tania was caught off guard for a moment, before managing to pull out her gun and speak, "You're under arrest for crimes against the Great Seer."
The wolf chuckled and replied, "Yea, sure I am. You look like you could be in a lot better condition. Have you been eating well lately?"
Tania paused for a moment. If one of the rebels could realize she had an eating disorder, it would be plain as day when the Great Seer had all his officers show in front of him.
The wolf smiled. "Come on, what's your name? See, I've been looking for someone."
"That's none of your business," Tania shot at him, managing to get her gun pointed at him again. "Now, if you don't pipe down, I am going to have to shoot you."
"Nice try, seeing as that gun isn't loaded," the wolf replied, causing Tania to pause again, and realized that she never did put bullets in it. "Word of advice," the wolf told her, "You'd be best off leaving the city now."
Tania puffed up and muttered, "I'm never going to leave my post. It's against the promises I've made to the Great Seer."
The wolf chuckled, asking, "And that's why you've been hearing voices at night, when you're alone, right?"
Tania took a step backwards, out of shock. "How'd you know that?"
"All in due time," the wolf stated out of nowhere. "For now, Adieu."
With that, the wolf disappeared in a portal. Tania knew the sensors that were all over her police suit would be going crazy, but because it would have been an expected fight. Tania pulled out her walkie-talkie and said into it, slightly out of breath, "Target escaped."
"You stopped him from reaching the weapons storage. That's good enough," the voice replied. "Take fifteen and head back to headquarters."
"Affirmative," Tania replied, putting the walkie-talkie away and heading to her house. She kept asking one question: How was it that wolf knew that she was hearing voices at night?
"Well, Mark, did you succeed?" A mare-succubus hybrid asked at the entrance of a tunnel.
Mark nodded. "I found her. She's one of the police, but she also appears to be suffering from some type of eating disorder." There was a shuffling on the other side of the clearing, and Sunnine walked over.
"Seduction," Sunnine said, bowing her head at the mare-succubus before turning to Mark and bowing her head.
Seduction asked, "What news do you bring?"
"The Great Seer has called Tania to a meeting. No doubt he realizes what's wrong with her," Sunnine replied. "If you're going to act, you'll have to act fast."
Seduction nodded. "Let's hope this is the Tania we're looking for. Mark, get the path to the castle ready. I'll go through and have Armada be on hand at the palace. Sunnine, go ahead and send Tania there. It's time we brought her back here."
"Right," both of them said. Mark headed into the tunnels and Sunnine turned and left the way she came.
Seduction looked up at the ash-covered sky and muttered, "Oh, Goddess, please let her be the one we're looking for." With that, she turned and walked into the tunnels, following Mark.
Tania got home and immediately collapsed, breathing hard before managing to get her police outfit off. She couldn't have the station worrying about her condition. That'd just lead to suspicion, and suspicion always leads to tests about different disorders. And those tests leads to the results that cause the most people losing their lives due to a disorder of some sort.
Tania shook her head and asked, "How did he know I've been hearing voices? How?" Tania looked at herself in the mirror and decided that she truly did look horrible. No wonder it was obvious to that rebel that she had anorexia. Tania dropped her head and muttered under her breath before standing, swaying a little bit before finding her balance. She went and took a quick shower before putting her police outfit back on. She was about ready to pull out the walkie-talkie to say that she was heading to the headquarters when there was a knock on the door. Tania became cautious and pulled out her gun.
Sunnine opened the door and said, "Geez, Tania! Don't shoot!"
"It's not loaded, what're you talking about?" Tania asked Sunnine. "What's going on?"
Sunnine looked at Tania for a moment before saying, "The Great Seer has called for you to meet him." Tania stopped, halfway to the cabinet where she kept the bullets.
"What?" Tania asked, turning to Sunnine, who shrugged.
"I'm not sure what it's about, but it'd be best not to keep him waiting," Sunnine stated bluntly.
Tania nodded. "Wish me luck," she said, staring at the mirror again, worry easily being seen in her eyes.
Sunnine smiled and told Tania, "You'll be fine." Before Tania could ask what she meant, Sunnine left. Tania sighed, loaded her gun, and left.
"We've been expecting you," the guard on the left said. He was overweight and carried a bazooka on his shoulder.
The other guard, who was skinner and didn't appear to be carrying any weapon, said, "Follow us." They got behind Tania and escorted her down a long hallway, eventually coming to a chamber with a huge throne sitting on the opposite end of the entrance. On the throne was the same devil-winged wolf that grabbled control of the planet a thousand years before.
"So, you're Tania," The Great Seer said, staring at her. "I must say, I'm pleased to finally make your acquaintance."
Tania bowed by getting down on one knee, placing her hand over her chest, and bending down so far that her leg met her hand. "And I you," Tania replied in a clear voice.
"We've got much to talk about, you and I," The Great Seer told her. It was clear in his voice that he knew a lot more than what he was letting on.
'Don't trust anything he says,' a voice drifted through Tania's ear. It took all her effort to make sure that her ear didn't twitch.
"Armada, don't glare at him," Seduction hissed. Hanging far above the group of four were Mark and Seduction, staring down on the scene.
Mark muttered, "We can't blow our cover Armada. Make yourself seem respectful. You've had the training."
It didn't take a reply for them to know that attempting not to glare at the Great Seer in the flesh is harder than it sounds.

Overall, I want to know who would like to read this in a comic form of some sort, but it'd have chapters like these set up as well. But, on a side note:
Since I can't remember the symptoms of anorexia(and I can't find my damn health notes) I would love it if someone could give me some information on the symptoms and the like.
Also, if you feel that there's something that could be adjusted a little bit or changed to make the story better, please tell me. I'll review the change you've requested for the pilot chapter and think about it. If I like it, I'll go in and edit it, adding your name to the list of people that helped me edit the area.
If this all works out and you guys like the idea that I'm going with, this'll become the first chapter of the comic that I'm hoping to create. ))
